precise purpose of being broken
M1 Singapore Fringe Festival 2019: Still Waters  //  Esplanade Annexe Studio  //  Singapore  January 2019

precise purpose of bring broken

80min
Performed in English, Malay, Tamil and Hokkien

Each of these texts floats in a particular and specific universe: open, disembodied, yet inexplicably connected. This multi-lingual work features characters that are as broken as they are illuminated and as doomed as they are hopeful. They revisit faded landscapes of their collective memory and lose their footing on grounds that seem top provided potent signs of recognition.

First presented by Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay as a work-in-progress for The Studios: RAW in 2017.
